This past week, I found myself in new York City which usually means I find myself at my favorite live music venue Le Poisson Rouge (LPR) on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village. This time, to check out heavy metal group Soulfly.

Max Cavalera, Soulfly

Soulfly is led by former Sepultura frontman Max Cavalera, who formed the band after he left the pioneering Brazilian group in 1996. Their debut album, “Soulfly”, was released on April 21, 1998 and was certified gold. They’ve released 10 additional albums since then – not to mention kicked ass all over LPR.
