Last month, I attended the Psycho Las Vegas music festival at the sprawling Resorts World Las Vegas. If you missed my first post in this series, I received my very first photo pass(!) and was finally in the photographer’s pit. I think I held my own as this and the following series of photographs should clearly illustrate.

I started off with Danish black metal legends Mercyful Fate (one of my favorite metal bands!) and in this post, we head north over the North Sea to Norway, the birthplace of Norwegian black metal pioneers Emperor – a prominent force during the “second wave of black metal” in the early 1990s.

They closed out day one of the festival by tearing the roof off the joint. Enjoy the photographs…
