I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be receiving the “Artist of Impact” award at the inaugural Impact Awards Gala hosted by ArtServe, South Florida’s premier arts and culture incubator. The event will be held this Friday, May 19th at ArtServe, 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale.
The inaugural “Impact Awards” will honor the most transformative and influential arts supporters in media, the community, business and philanthropy, as well as recognize its own most memorable artists. “We are thrilled to recognize these extraordinary partners, advocates, donors and artists, all of whom have impacted both ArtServe and our community in so many diverse ways,” ArtServe Executive Director Jason Hughes explained.
Now, as anyone who knows me would attest, I’m always very uncomfortable blowing my own horn so I invited my daughter Miranda to speak on my behalf in this short (and totally unscripted) video…
As my daughter made perfectly clear, I’m very deserving of this recognition and (in all seriousness) am unreservedly honored and humbled to have received this recognition from such a wonderful arts organization like ArtServe. Learn more about this dynamic arts organization at www.artserve.org
