Continuing with my series of photographs (finally!) from the most epic European dad-daughter trip of (probably?) our lifetime –

Wiener Christkindlmarkt, Vienna
Austria has plenty of Christmas markets (as does pretty much all of Europe) but the most popular is on Vienna’s Rathausplatz, the square in front of the city’s town hall (Wiener Rathaus) – the home of the Wiener Christkindlmarkt, which dates back to the late 18th century (with the market moving to its present location in 1975).
The market features around 100 booths featuring assorted crafts to seasonal cuisine, attracting an estimated 2.8 million visitors each year. There’s also the legendary Tree of Hearts, a 150-year-old maple-leaved tree adorned with approximately 200 illuminated red hearts, creating a romantic and festive atmosphere.
Wiener Christkindlmarkt runs from middle of November to December 26th. Miranda and I braved the cold and strolled through this historic Christmas market during our four days in the city.
